Background

EdPlace contacted us towards the beginning of 2020, looking for a digital marketing agency that could help them gain a better understanding of their current digital marketing activities, improve profitability of paid campaigns and starting to work on improving SEO efforts across the site.

EdPlace are an educational company with a mission of making learning fun and accessible to learners all across the UK, working closely with a team of qualified UK teachers. As well as a particular focus and expertise in Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 worksheet resources in English, maths and science, they also offer revision activities to 11+ and GCSE students.

Once we started working on the website, our instant priorities were ensuring we were collecting all of the necessary data and implementing a more robust tracking setup to be able to make more informed decisions on our paid campaigns.

How Did We Do?

After conducting market analysis and working closely with the EdPlace team to derive insights from the experts, we started work completely restructuring the PPC accounts to minimise wastage and put our budget to use more effectively.

Targeting parents, teachers and schools looking for engaging resources to support learning in homeschooling and educational settings, we implemented clear strategise to improve ROAS and the profitability of our paid campaigns.

Since improving initial performance, we’ve consistently worked to increase visibility and establish the brand as a leader in the market.

What About SEO?

When we started working on the site’s SEO strategy, we identified a number of technical issues that we wanted to clean up to help improve the overall quality of content. Prioritising work sections of the site at the time, we found and were able to remove large numbers of thin pages and feed in changes to the development team on how to avoid similar pages being created in the future.

After removing excess bloat from the website, we focussed on creating new, high quality pages and optimised content to improve our organic visibility for relevant queries. As a result of our work, we fairly quickly saw impressive positional gains for our targeted keywords and saw a large increase in traffic due to school lockdowns at the time - putting EdPlace on the map as an important provider of educational resources for UK students.
